A motorcyclist has died after suffering serious injuries in a collision in Gloucester, with police appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
Police were called shortly after 3.35pm on Friday 17 July with a report that the rider of a motorbike had been found injured and was believed to have been involved in a collision on Painswick Road.
The rider of the motorbike, a man aged in his 50s, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital for treatment and sadly died from his injuries on Thursday 30 July.
The man’s family, who are being supported by specially trained officers, do not wish to name him at this time, and they are asking others to respect this and refrain from speculating online.
A collision investigation has taken take place and officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, saw an off-road scrambler style motorbike riding along Painswick Road before the collision, or who has dashcam footage they feel is relevant, to get in touch.
