Longfield Community Hospice’s popular fundraising walk is back — and this year, the charity is putting talking at the heart of it.

This soul-enriching walk brings people together for fresh air and good conversation. This year, the hospice’s counsellors will be walking the journey alongside Longfield supporters and the local community – just as they do with the patients they support through counselling services.

“This event is about more than fundraising,” said Lena Pabreza, Senior Counselling Manager at Longfield. “It’s about community, connection, and showing that people affected by a life-limiting diagnosis or grief are not alone.”

The walk starts from Longfield Hospice in Minchinhampton on Saturday, September 6th, 3-7pm.  Longfield are inviting people to bring along friends, family and even the dog for a relaxed walk across Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons: breathtaking panoramic views guaranteed.

After everyone has got their steps in, there is a chance to return to the hospice grounds for live music, food, drink and garden games.

Those who wish to can donate or raise sponsorship on top of the registration fee to support the hospice’s free services, which include expert palliative care, wellbeing therapies, bereavement support, and comfort for patients and families across Gloucestershire.

Whether walking in memory of someone special or wanting to support the charity, everyone is welcome. Walkers do not need a connection to Longfield to join in. The walk is suitable for all ages and abilities, with a choice of 5 or 10k routes.

Register your place today to walk, talk, and make every step count for Longfield Community Hospice.

The registration fee is from £7.50 for adults and £5 for children with additional costs for food. Walkers can sign up on the Longfield website or call our friendly fundraising team on 01453 886868.
