If you’ve ever had poppadoms with your Indian meal, chances are you’ve scooped up some raita with them.
Cucumber, mint and yogurt make this a delicious raita and we’re going to show you how to make it at a fraction of the cost of a takeaway – it’s so simple it’ll take you just 5 minutes!
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Ingredients: 500g Plain yogurt, 130g cucumber washed and chopped into small chunks, 3 tsp cumin powder, 1½ tsp Kashmiri chili powder, 1½ tsp chaat masala, and 3½ tbsp mint leaves finely chopped.
Instructions
Add plain yogurt to a medium bowl, and whisk until smooth. Then, add chopped cucumber, cumin powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, chaat masala, finely chopped mint leaves, and salt. Mix thoroughly to combine and garnish with chopped mint, cumin seeds, or chili powder.
