decided that the winner was Brutons Home Hardware, for their lovely

The trophy was presented to Graham Stemp by the three judges, Nailsworth in Bloom’s Liz Steele and Sheila Peaple, and Town Councillor Jonathan Duckworth. Liz Steele said: “The main window is
packed with merchandise to inspire shopping but manages to retain a very
attractive arrangement of shape and form in an engaging Christmas display.”

The second prize went to Cotswold Dogs and Cats, who installed another
wonderfully colour-coordinated set of displays. Sheila Peaple said: “Obviously a lot of care goes into choosing the products for these windows, to create this coordinated effect. Well done.”

There was also a Judges Special Award, and this went to Claire Francis
Hair Design for their delightful display. Judge Jonathan Duckworth said:“Claire Frances have tricky windows that aren’t very deep, and they
display has overcome that very well.”

Jonathan added: “This year has been a very trying one, with the
effects of the energy crisis and high inflation. Our local, independent
retailers have put on a warm and inviting display and we urge everyone
to support them this Christmas.”
