Road closure following serious collision

Police have closed the A417 following a serious collision in Birdlip this evening (Wednesday 10 May).

Emergency services were called shortly after 9pm with a report of a two vehicle collision just before the junction for Birdlip.

A closure has been put into place between the Air Balloon roundabout and Nettleton Bottom while emergency services remain at the scene.

This is expected to remain in place for a number of hours with motorists asked to plan their route in advance and avoid the area.
