Shortwood director of football Jason Scrivens has decided to stand down from his senior role at Meadowbank.
Popular Scrivens, who has served the club as a player and manager before taking up a senior role at the Nailsworth club for the last six years.
In tandem with the much-missed former Shortwood United chairman Billy Reay, Scrivens helped guide the club through choppy waters, taking the decision to drop out of the Southern League after a budget cut and playing firstly at Western League level before switching back to the Hellenic League.

“Billy (Reay) gave me a task, and we have done it,” said Scrivens.
“After six years helping rebuild the club my work is done in regards to that the club is in a strong position with the football management and behind the scenes. I’m still staying at Shortwood, but very much as a relaxed member.”
