Discover the joy of Gloucestershire’s traditional dances at a fun and welcoming workshop.
Miserden Morris is inviting the local community to a free Morris dancing taster session on Tuesday 9th September at 7:30pm at The Old Town Hall, The Shambles, Stroud.
The session will give people the chance to try out some of the area’s distinctive Gloucestershire dances in a lively, friendly, and vibrant atmosphere. The evening is open to all – whether you’ve danced before or are simply curious to give it a go.
A spokesperson for Miserden Morris said: “We’d love people to come along, try Morris dancing for themselves, and see just how much fun and camaraderie there is in being part of the side. It’s a brilliant way to connect with tradition, enjoy some exercise, and meet a really welcoming group of people.”
There’s no obligation to join afterwards, but the team hopes the session will encourage new members to become part of the side and help keep this wonderful tradition alive in Stroud.
