Photographer Simon Pizzey visited the opening night of the bowls season at Stratford Park, Stroud, last week.
Stroud Bowls Club, founded 88 years ago, invited budding competitors to try their hand at the sport on Friday, April 18th. The club used to have around 60 members, but numbers have dwindled in recent years and the club is keen to reinvigorate itself.
The season runs until September and Stroud will face Tetbury in their first league game on May 6th.
