Author Christopher Edge joined staff and pupils at St Matthew’s Primary School to officially open the new library today, Tuesday.

Year 1 teacher  Emma Szarko said: “We have had an exciting day filled with reading. This is part of our extended World Book Day celebrations and to launch our newly refurbished library. Gloucestershire-based author Christopher Edge spent the day inspiring the children to read more and aspire to become authors themselves.

“Some of our children have been lucky enough to experience workshops with Christopher, focusing on his newest book Escape Room. Christopher has formally opened our library by cutting the ribbon and has been busy signing children’s books -it has been a real wow day.”
