Community spirit was in full flow at the weekend as volunteers joined Stroud District Councillor Holly Simkiss for the Big Kingswood Clean Up, a village-wide effort to tidy up the area.
Residents, families, and groups rolled up their sleeves to litter pick, weed, and tidy up around Kingswood, helping to make the village a cleaner and greener place for everyone.

The group collected and filled several large rubbish bags with discarded bottles, cans, wrappers, cardboard, plastic and polystyrene.
Enthusiastic volunteers, including the children from Kingswood Primary School, members of Kingswood Rainbows and Brownies, and Councillor Linda Cohen all joined in to lend a hand.
Councillor Simkiss said: “A huge thank to all our hard-working volunteers. It’s been wonderful to see so many people come together and do their bit. It shows what can be achieved when we work as a team and take pride in our community. We’ve left Kingswood a cleaner and tidier place.”
Litter pick equipment was loaned to the group by Stroud District Council.
