Gloucestershire Libraries are now offering Innovation Lab membership gift vouchers across their network.

This unique gift could help someone to learn new skills, grow digital confidence and get hands-on with a range of exciting areas, including 3D scanning, modelling or printing, virtual reality, game design, coding, content creation or animation.

Membership provides access to the full Adobe Creative Suite, programmable robots, design studio, virtual reality headsets, 3D scanners and printers, podcast recording equipment, 360 cameras, micro-computers and much more.

There are Labs at six sites in the county, with one in each district – at Coleford, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Stroud and Chipping Campden.

Each Lab has a friendly Lab Tech on hand to help you to spark creativity and support your digital skill development, to bring project ideas to life.

One month’s membership costs just £15, or you can give a three-month membership for £30 and get one month free.

The Lab vouchers are suitable for anyone aged 14 and over, are valid for six months from the date of purchase and can be used at any of the six sites.

To kick-start a creative journey or to find out more, email info@innovationlabnetwork.com or enquire in your local library.

Cllr Dave Norman, cabinet member for libraries at Gloucestershire County Council, said: “This is an excellent idea to offer Lab membership gift vouchers to help people learn new digital skills. Our Labs have fantastic facilities with plenty of support available to use the vast range of digital equipment available, so why not treat someone this Christmas with a Lab gift voucher.”
