Holy Water Bar, Lansdown, Stroud, July 6th.
Cocktails and mocktails were the order of the day at Holy Water, Lansdown, last Sunday. A community group formed to support gaining legal rights and protection for the Severn Bore organised the fundraising event, writes Simon Pizzey.

Participants dressed in watery blues and greens danced to music provided by Rob Hider AKA DJ Mississippi. A beautifully crafted head of The Severn Serpent was also in attendance.
Spokesperson Jules Ellison said: “It was great to see so many people attend the event to support our community group in trying to achieve legal protective status for The Severn Bore.
“Recent attempts at development, ongoing pollution and climate change are threatening the river’s rich heritage which is so important to the environment, culture and creativity of the Stroud area, yet isn’t legally protected.”
