What’s on in Stroud this week: 1 – 7 Jun 2026
June is here, and Stroud’s events diary is just as packed as ever.
The Malty Story Festival returns to Stroud Brewery for three days of entertainment on offer, award-winning Irish musicians Ye Vagabonds bring their show to the Sub Rooms on Saturday night, going head to head with veteran American music producer Brian Jackson at the Goods Shed.
Elsewhere, Chalford Hill Summer Fayre takes place on Saturday, and Cotswold Sculptors Association’s summer exhibition takes up residence in Miserden for the summer.

- Explore Vistas and Vignettes at Three Storeys – Tue 2 – Sun 7 Jun
Nailsworth’s Three Storeys hosts a week-long special group exhibition by ten artists, exploring the contrasting worlds of landscapes and interiors. Across oil, paper and mixed media, the exhibition juxtaposes works inspired by expansiveness with detail and close study.
- Party at the Malty Story Festival – Fri 5 – Sun 7 Jun
Stroud Brewery hosts a full weekend of entertainment over three days, with music from Hiphoppapotamus, Broken Jaw, Ragstone, Pebble Daisy, The Achievers. Plus, a Saturday balcony bar takeover from Valley Steppas and Sunday kids’ entertainment from Club Kids and the Magnificent Mr Kai. Advance tickets recommended, Sunday events free.
- Attend the Chalford Hill Summer Fayre – Sat 6 Jun, 11am – 3pm
The parents and students of Chalford Hill Primary School host a fun-filled day for all the family with music, a barbecue, a bouncy castle, face painting, tea and cake and more. Plus, the Active Lifestyles team will be on site with fun challenges, games and prizes
- Watch Brian Jackson at the Goods Shed – Sat 6 Jun, 7.30pm
Celebrated American keyboardist, flautist, composer and producer Brian Jackson is best known for his collaborations with Gil Scott-Heron in the 1970s, drawing inspiration from the social and political issues of the time. Following a twenty-year hiatus, he returned with two new albums in 2021 and 2022, and now comes to the Goods Shed for a Saturday night show.
- See Ye Vagabonds at the Sub Room – Sat 6 Jun, 8pm
County Carlow-based brothers Diarmuid and Brían Mac Gloinn have come a long way from their early days busking together to winning Best Track, Best Album and Best Folk Group at RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards. They arrive at the Sub Rooms as part of a tour to promote their new studio album, All Tied Together, recorded mostly live in an old house in Galway.
- See Bonfire Radicals at the Prince Albert – Sun 7 Jun, 7.30pm
Birmingham-based folk ensemble Bonfire Radicals bring their show to the Prince Albert in Rodborough as part of a tour to promote their new album Spaghetti Junction. Expect a high energy genre-spanning show, blending English, Scottish and Irish folk with Balkan tunes, rich vocal harmonies and spellbinding a cappella.

- See the Miserden Creating Spaces Exhibition – Wed 3 Jun – Sun 2 Aug
The Cotswold Sculptors Association’s Creating Spaces exhibition returns to Miserden for the summer season. The exhibition features more than 200 sculptures by 72 members of the Cotswold Sculptors Association, set within both the Miserden Gardens and the Club Room opposite The Carpenters Arms.

- Enjoy the Festival of Nature – Sat 6 – Sun 14 Jun
The UK’s largest free celebration of the natural world returns to Bristol and Bath for a week-and-a-bit of in-person and online events including film screenings, arts and crafts, experiments, walks, talks, tours, exhibitions and music. Events will take place across the week, finishing with a special Wild Weekend celebration in Bristol’s Millennium Square next weekend.
