Families are being invited to experience a weekend packed with circus performances, live music, art and interactive activities when Moments of Wonder comes to Minchinhampton later this month.
Churches Together in Minchinhampton is hosting its own Weekend of Wonder from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2, featuring a brand-new circus show making its debut in the town.
The production, curated by writer and director Andy Bewley and Claudia Weston of School of Larks, brings together visiting performers Millie Whitestone, Sky and Alby for a family-friendly show featuring circus skills, gymnastics and singing.
The weekend begins at Holy Trinity Church on Friday, July 31, at 4.30pm with a relaxed performance designed for people with additional needs, offering more space, reduced noise and softer lighting.
On Saturday, August 1, visitors can enjoy three free performances, with shows at 10am, 1pm and 3pm. Alongside the performances, there will be a reflective space, a treasure hunt and pay-as-you-feel refreshments available throughout the day.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to view the striking Burning Bush art installation, created by local artists Pyrite Creative.
The celebrations conclude on Sunday, August 2, with a special service at 9am inside the Giffords Circus Big Top, before refreshments are served back at Holy Trinity Church.
Volunteers from both churches, alongside members of the wider Festival of Wonder community, will be on hand throughout the weekend to welcome and support visitors.
The event forms part of the Moments of Wonder series organised by local charity Ignition Gloucestershire, which aims to bring creative, uplifting and inclusive experiences to communities across the county.
All events are free to attend.
