The Stonehouse Canal Festival will return on Sunday, running from 12noon to 4pm, bringing a wide range of live entertainment, family activities, food and community showcases to Stonehouse.

The festival will take place across multiple locations, including Stonehouse Court Hotel, St Cyr’s Church, the Ocean Canalside, Church Lane and the Ship Inn Community Space. The event is free to attend and is expected to attract visitors from across the district and surrounding areas.

At Stonehouse Court Hotel, live music will be provided by Bethany Chadd, Mark I and Jack Taylor. The hotel will also host a range of family attractions, including a large bouncy castle, a 45-foot obstacle course, garden games, food vendors and a dog show organised by Teckels.

St Cyr’s Church will host a programme of performances throughout the afternoon, featuring local choirs and musical groups including Five Valley Voices, The Minpins, Stroud Folk Choir, Nailsworth Silver Band and Stroud Rock Choir. Visitors will also be able to take part in tower tours and visit the church café.

The Ocean Canalside will feature community and environmental organisations including the Cotswold Canals Trust, Cotswold Boatmobility, Churches Together in Stonehouse and several stallholders. Boat trips along the canal will also be available throughout the afternoon.

Church Lane will host a wide range of stalls from local traders, artists and craftspeople, alongside food vendors and community groups offering handmade goods, artwork, plants and delicious baked items.

The Ship Inn Community Space will provide live music, food and family activities throughout the afternoon. Performers include Born and Braised, Kindness of Ravens, Stroud Red Band and Cotswold Area Music Makers. Additional attractions will include a climbing wall, BBQ, ice creams and participation from a range of community organisations and charities.
