Forest Green Rovers have postponed their National League clash with Scunthorpe United after the club’s top brass opted to request a fixture postponement.
The match against Scunthorpe United, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 3, has been called off due to four Rovers players, Filozofe Mabete, D’Mani Mellor, Kyle Kelly and Kairo Mitchell have all been called up by their respective countries during the current international break.
The decision was taken by the Rovers hierarchy, including manager Robbie Savage, sporting director Mark Bowen, owner Dale Vince and vice-chairman Asif Rehmanwala, following the international call-ups of four first-team players.
The club said: “We can confirm that the National League has accepted our request to postpone Saturday 3rd October’s fixture against Scunthorpe United.”
A new date for the fixture, along with ticketing information, will be announced in due course.
