As autumn settles into Stroud, Home of Vintage at Five Valleys is welcoming the new season with fresh arrivals, creativity and plenty of new reasons to visit throughout October.
Recent additions to Home of Vintage include Wild Nook, Kira Mai Studio and Thimble and Wick, bringing even more variety to the growing offering of independent businesses.
Thimble and Wick offers a collection of handmade candles, wax melts and fragrance products, all made in the UK. With cosy scents perfect for the autumn months, it is a great place to discover something new for the home or pick up a thoughtful gift.
Karakorum is also preparing for an exciting few weeks, with lots of new stock arriving from Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya. Alongside selling ethical homeware, the business has also recently started working with a social enterprise in Malawi, with plans to co-create a range of new products.
Five Valleys Gallery has expanded into a new unit within Home of Vintage, creating even more space to showcase work from talented artists. The new space features a fresh selection of original paintings, prints, ceramics, sculptures and other handmade pieces.

A host of new artists have also joined the gallery: Sarah Edmunds, Stuart Lennie, Gemma Waters, Carolyn Carswell, Alex Findlay, Raje Airey, Hollie Molloy, Helena Zabko Philips, Giulia Holland, Benedict Lovering, Sylvia Hammond, Jemma Jones, Philip Edmunds, Nancy Gruely, Philip Bunce, Phillip Edwards and Steven Roberts.
Elsewhere, Phoenix & The Moon is in the early stages of an exciting creative collaboration with a writer. The project will see a new jewellery collection inspired by a poetry book, with designs currently being developed around the narratives.
For anyone feeling inspired to get creative themselves this autumn, Painted Palms is running creative art workshops every Thursday to Sunday at Home of Vintage. The two-hour sessions are suitable for beginners as well as those looking to practise and develop their skills. A full programme of workshops is available right through until December, with more information available at www.painted-palms.com.
With new traders, expanding collections and hands-on creative experiences, October is a great time to explore Home of Vintage and discover what is new this autumn.
