Police investigating the assault of a woman in the Cotswolds last weekend are appealing for two people to come forward to help them with their enquiries.
It was reported that a man and woman were walking two Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs on a footpath near Eyford House in Upper Slaughter at around 12.25pm on Sunday (16 February).
A woman, who was walking her dog with her partner in the same area, approached the couple and asked them to put their dogs on a lead after one of the Ridgeback’s reportedly bit her dog.
The unknown man is then reported to have punched the woman in the face before the woman grabbed her from behind. They pulled her to the ground and then kicked her in the ribs.
The couple are described as being white and were both wearing matching black wax jackets. The woman had blonde hair in a ponytail and was wearing a pink cap and the man had short, cropped hair and a grey goatee beard and moustache.
Officers are now asking the man and woman to make contact and give an account of what happened. They are also asking anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
