Looking to bounce back from Hellenic Premier Division relegation, Brimscombe have added Shortwood striker Dan Gayner to their squad.
Prolific Gayner scored 30 goals during two seasons at Meadowbank, but spent a short stint at Longlevens last season before returning to Marcus Foxwell’s side. Gayner’s departure follows Finlay Byrnes’ decision to join fellow Hellenic League outfit Stonehouse Town.
A Brimscombe spokesperson said: “Everyone at the club are delighted to announce that Dan has decided to join us.
“Dan is a proven goal scorer having netted 33 times across the past two seasons for Shortwood. He has a range of abilities alongside scoring goals, which is what makes this such a fantastic signing for the club.”
Manager Tim Bond has also added prolific Bibury striker Jay Griffiths to his ranks. Griffiths bagged 45 goals over the last two seasons.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Travis Wood, the former Slimbridge and Malmesbury stopper, has agreed to join the Lilywhites.
Brimscombe travel to Avonmouth in the first qualifying round of the FA Vase. The tie will take place on August 23.
