Forest Green have signed powerful midfielder Dylan Kadji on a season-long loan from Championship side Bristol City.

The 6’2” midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan in League Two, making 13 appearances for Swindon Town.

Before heading on loan to Swindon last term, Kadji made four first-team appearances for Bristol City, scoring on his debut against Wycombe Wanderers in the Carabao Cup.

The Robins loanee will wear the number 16 during his time at Rovers.

After signing for FGR, Kadji said: “I’ve got an opportunity here to really showcase what I can do. I love to get on the ball, make things happen far up the pitch and hopefully get some goals.”

David Horseman added: “Dylan is a really promising midfielder who I know well and I’ve seen him develop both technically and physically.

“As an aggressive presser and ball carrier, he can really help us in the number six and number 10 positions.”

FGR’s Director of Football, Allan Steele, said: “It’s great to welcome Dylan to the club. Forest Green and Bristol City have some very strong links and we’re very thankful for their efforts in helping bring Dylan here for the next stage of his development.“
