The Craghoppers shop in Stroud will close later this month.

Based at the Five Valleys Shopping Centre, the outdoor clothing brand opened in Stroud last April.

Entrepreneur Mark Dransfield, of Yorkshire-based Dransfield Properties, who own the Five Valleys shopping centre, confirmed the closure: “Craghoppers agreed to come in temporarily for one-year just to give us some stimulus because they’re friends of mine from north London.

“They’ve done a great job for us and we are very grateful but it’s time to move on now and we’ve got other retail interest that are going to take a longer-term position and in the interim, we’re are going to let schools and colleges exhibit art in the retail unit.”
