In what could be the last ever running of the Berkeley 10k, more than 200 runners took part in the popular event this morning, Sunday.

On a sun-kissed day, first across the line was Max Kelly of Western Tempo in a time of 32 minutes and 10 seconds, followed by team-mate Luke Carroll (32.35) and Adam Holland of Tavistock Running Club (33.48).

The first woman back was 17 year-old Cheltenham Harriers runner and Stroud High pupil Erin Musty (36.35).
The first Dursley AC runner across the line was Robert Deller (36.01). The first Stroud and District AC runner was Martin Wood (35.18).

The race, hosted by Dursley Running Club since 2004, started and finished at the former Berkeley Power Station site, and facilities were donated free of charge by SGS College Berkeley Green.

Race Director John Rodgers told Stroud Times the race in its current format is in doubt: “SGS College have sold the site, but we hope to continue in some form in this area or Sharpness.”
