The first event of its kind is due to come to Stroud this month and looks set to be an arty extravaganza.
Paint Pot Parties Ltd, a Gloucestershire-based art workshop company formed earlier this year, have teamed up with Stroud based Latin-American restaurant, Galgos Latino, to put on a paint party like no other – a Drag Arty Brunch Party.
On November 23rd Galgos’ resident Drag Queen, Latina Ballroom, will play host to an extra special Brunch Party! A fully equipped art workshop where participants will create their own Drag Queen on canvas using a range of multimedia techniques, led by Paint Pot Parties owner and artist Brydie Niland, will take place alongside live drag entertainment. A delicious lunch and cocktail will also be provided to fuel the fun and creativity.
Paint Pot Parties was founded in April 2024 by husband-and-wife duo Dan and Brydie Niland, Dan, a former chef, and Brydie, an artist and project manager. Their premium art workshops always offer a full foodie experience as part of their packages, with their flagship events being the extremely popular Paint and Pudding Nights. Despite being a very new business, Paint Pot Parties have been nominated for various awards, including Start-Up Business of the Year and are currently finalists in the Creative Business Award category for the Woman’s Business Awards being announced later this year.
The venue is quickly becoming a go-to foodie spot in Stroud and their delicious Latin-American menu and incredible cocktails offer something for everyone. They have played host to many successful events this year and resident Drag Queen, Latina Ballroom is a local Queen with impressive credentials. She has a very successful international dancing career and carries decades of performing experience. She has recently taken the Drag scene by storm becoming a favourite regular in many venues in the region and is Gloucestershire’s current Drag Wars reigning champion. Expect energy, humour, chaos and gorgeousness, this queen has it all!
