GLOUCESTERSHIRE Women made the most of home advantage at the Seat Unique Stadium to emerge convincing winners on ECB T20 finals day.
A hectic day of Group Three action got underway with Gloucestershire easing past Dorset by 105 runs in the opening semi-final, openers Bea Ellis (60 no) and Katie Dolman (34) impressing while Fran Wilson weighed in with 46 as their side piled up 155-2.
In reply, Dorset were bowled out for 50 as Bhoomika Bhat (3-3 from four), Chloe Skelton (3-7 from 3.2) and Melissa Story (2-11 from three) all found a testing line and length.
Next up, Shropshire defeated Wiltshire by 14 runs to reach the playoff final against the hosts who went on to emerge 88-run victors in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
Fran Wilson (53) along with Bea Ellis and Katie Jones , who both hit 30, lifted their side to an imposing 161-7 ahead of Shropshire being restricted to a reply of 73-8, Alice Hill, Melissa Story and Bhoomika Bhat taking two wickets apiece.

“All four sides have relished the chance to play at a first-class ground, and we would like to thank Gloucestershire for their help in getting this event on.
“The team’s T20 season is now over but we have some 50-over friendlies to look forward to, starting next month, and we hope that in the future there will be even more opportunities at county level for female players to show what they can do.”
