Three people from the Stroud district have received honours in the King’s Birthday Honours.
Caroline Cotterell from Stroud has been recognised for services to the natural environment. Ms Cotterell – who has been handed a CBE – was formerly director of Resilient Landscape and Seas for Natural England.
Phil Smith from Minchinhampton has been knighted for services to the advertising and marketing industries. Mr Smith – who has been handed an OBE – is the director general of the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers.
Tina Mitchell Skinner from Berkeley has been recognised for services to people affected by brain tumours. Ms Mitchell Skinner – who has been handed an MBE – is the founder and former chief executive of Brain Tumour Support.
Tina launched the charity in 2003 following the death of her husband, Paul Mitchell, who had a glioblastoma brain tumour.
