Police have been given more time to detain a woman arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was thought to have had his mobility scooter stolen.

The woman, who is aged 40 and from Stroud, can remain in police custody for an extra 36 hours.

Police were called shortly before 6am on Sunday (22 January) with a report a man had been found unresponsive in the car park of Tesco superstore on Stratford Road.

The man, aged in his 60s, had been found without his mobility scooter which he uses as his mode of transport.
