A riot of rainbow colour and a parade of more than 100 people, led by a vintage Citroen 2CV car bedecked with rainbow flags, as well-wishers lined Long Street in Wotton-under-Edge on Saturday.
The parade gathered at Wotton-under-Edge Library on Ludgate Hill, making its way up Long Street before gathering in Market Street.

Starting on Friday and with events throughout Saturday, this was the second staging of Wotton Pride. Market Street was closed to traffic and hosted a number of stalls as well at The Stoney Chipping Main Stage outside The Star Inn, sponsored by near-by engineering firm Renishaw.
Acts on the stage included DJ Atom, Lord Funkenhausen and DJ Perry as well as Round the Edge Community Choir, Damsel in Distress, Matt & Will and Rob Green.
Organiser Becki Britton-Griffiths told Stroud Times: “There are so many words and yet I can’t find them, I’m speechless at how yet again Wotton came out in force for Pride. It truly is such a humbling experience to create an event such as this. Seeing the joy on the faces of all who attended.

“I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this year’s event such a resounding success. From the volunteers and performers to the incredible local businesses, community groups, and, most importantly, the amazing attendees, you brought colour, joy, and unity to our little town.
“Held on 14th June, Wotton Pride 2025 brought together people from all walks of life in a vibrant celebration of love, indentity, and inclusion. Whether you marched in the parade, danced at The Stoney Chipping Main Stage, shared your story, waved a flag, or simply showed up – you helped create a safe, supportive, and unforgettable space. Wotton Pride has always been about visibility, love, and community. We are incredibly proud of how our town showed up and celebrated together.
“As we look ahead to next year, we’re already dreaming bigger. We welcome your feedback, photos, and stories — please share them with us on our website or via social media using @WottonPride. If you want to join us in helping create more then get in touch. Together, we are creating something beautiful. Until next year, thank you Wotton.”
