Road closure following serious collision on the A419 in Cirencester

Road closures are in place following a serious collision on the A419 in Cirencester this afternoon, Friday.

Police were called to the A419 Stroud Road shortly after 1.40pm with a report of a two-vehicle collision.

Closures have been put into place between the A429 Tetbury Road roundabout and Royal Agricultural University while emergency services remain at the scene.

The road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours with motorists asked to plan their route in advance and avoid the area.
