Sandersons – the independent department store which has stores in Stroud, Sheffield, and Morpeth – has been shortlisted for three prestigious industry awards by the leading fashion retail magazine Drapers.
The business-to-business publication has announced its shortlist of finalists for the coveted Drapers Independents Awards and Sandersons has been shortlisted in three categories.
The team at the South Yorkshire headquartered retailer are in the running for Womenswear Independent of the Year, Best Store Design and Best Multi Channel Independent. The annual award ceremony will take place on Thursday 21st September in a glittering event at the Grosvenor House Hotel when the winners in each category will be announced.
The Sandersons team are previous Draper’s winners, taking the title of Best New Retailer in 2019. Since then, Sandersons has opened two new stores and developed its online offer with strong growth.
The store and brand were founded in 2016 by the late Deborah Holmes. Deborah’s husband Mark Dransfield has continued to build on her legacy, now employing more than 50 people across its three locations.
The store has continued to grow its family of brands and expand its online offer with a fully integrated e-commerce operation, including a new warehouse hub.
The team at Sandersons have created an immersive and unforgettable shopping experience in the stores approach to customer service, through to its innovative design and bespoke soundtrack, created by an Ibiza DJ. The environment aims to reflect the quality and luxury of the store’s brands and fashion collection, creating the perfect backdrop.
The company’s three store have a fabulous line up of carefully curated brands including Holland Cooper, Barbour, Grace & Mila and FRNCH as well as menswear collections from Jacob Cohen, Hackett, Briglia and Armani.
The perfumery range features exclusive, prestige fragrances with recent innovations including a bespoke Oud counter. Fragrance brands include Penhaligon’s, Initio, House of Oud, Parfums de Marly and Chanel.
Sandersons is also committed to sustainable practices. The company has incorporated environmentally friendly elements into all stores, such as recently installed solar panels and an on-site recycling hub, including cardboard bailing.
