Stepping into April at Five Valleys with Centre Manager Mick Grundy

April marks the true beginning of spring at Five Valleys, bringing fresh energy and plenty of new reasons to visit. I’m delighted to share what’s coming up across the centre this month.

With Easter just around the corner, we have a fantastic line-up of family-friendly activities planned for the long weekend.

On Friday 3rd April (Good Friday), children can enjoy a free Easter crafting station, where they can make their own Easter creations to take home.

From 12pm–2pm, we’ll be joined by a very special guest, Peter Rabbit, who will be hopping around the centre for the perfect Easter photo opportunity.

Our late-night Friday food market will also be open until 8pm, offering visitors the chance to kick off the Easter weekend with delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere.

The festivities continue with a two-day Easter scavenger hunt on 3rd and 4th April, with great prizes up for grabs from across Five Valleys. If you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids over the Easter holiday The Vue and Stroud Bowl have some great deals and activities over the break.

Visitors will have noticed the resurfacing and drainage upgrade works underway on King Street in recent weeks. The works are still ongoing with an additional surface to come and we can’t wait to see the finished look. The improvements will make a huge difference to the King Street area, and we’re really pleased to see this wider investment taking place in the town.

Spring has also brought exciting growth within the Home of Vintage, which has welcomed another wave of brilliant traders, including Reprise Vintage Toys, Vintage Vandals, and handcrafted jewellery store Phoenix and the Moon. They join a thriving community of artists, makers, collectors and vintage specialists – and the space is truly flourishing.

And there’s more to come…We’re thrilled to announce a save the date: 23rd April, when a very special guest will be joining us at Five Valleys as we celebrate both the completion of the building works here at the centre and the official launch of our fantastic Home of Vintage. More details will be revealed very soon.

If you’re interested in joining the Home of Vintage community, we still have a number of units available. Anyone keen to get involved is encouraged to contact vintage@fivevalleysstroud.co.uk.

We look forward to welcoming you to Five Valleys throughout April.
