Stroud Masters shine at British Transplant Games

Stroud Masters bagged eight golds and two silver medals at the British Transplant Games in Nottingham.

Competing the first games in five years due to the pandemic – and for their respective hospitals Kelly Young (Kings) secured gold in the 200m freestyle and silver in the relay, and Richard Percival (Bristol) secured gold in the 50m free, 100m free and 50m fly.  

Nearer to home five members of the club competed in the 1.9 – 10km open water competition at lake 62 in the Cotswold Water Parks.  Mike Joffe secured 2nd place in the gruelling 10km swim, with Jessica and Mark Partridge (5km), Nick Bishop (3.8km), and Alan Venn (1.9km) all securing 1st place in their respective age categories.
