As the festive season approaches, The Sub Rooms in Stroud is once again becoming a focal point for community Christmas spirit, hosting a Christmas collection of non-perishable food items in support of NoSH’s (Network of Stroud Hubs) local food banks.
The initiative invites our local community to donate long-life Christmas goodies such as chocolate selections packs, biscuits, crisps, sharing boxes of chocolates, etc, helping ensure that all local families can experience some festive fun and joy during what can be a challenging time of year. With demand for food bank support traditionally rising in the winter months, organisers hope this will spread some much needed holiday comfort.
The Sub Rooms, well known as a hub for arts, culture and community life in Stroud, is offering its venue as a convenient drop-off point, making it easy for people to contribute while attending events or passing through the town centre.
Organisers have expressed their thanks in advance to everyone who is able to donate, stressing that even a single item can make a meaningful difference.
Donations can be dropped off at The Sub Rooms Box Office during opening hours (Tues – Sat 10am – 4pm) from now until Christmas.
This Christmas initiative reflects the strong spirit of community in Stroud, so let’s come together and make this NoSH’s most successful collection yet.
