ITV has confirmed that former Forest Green manager Duncan Ferguson will be part of its broadcast team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The former Scotland, Everton and Newcastle striker and Everton assistant manager will be joined by an impressive roster of pundits, which includes Roy Keane, Ian Wright, Gary Neville, Patrick Vieira, Karen Carney, Ange Postecoglou, Juan Mata, Emma Hayes, Jobi McAnuff, and Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Now stepping into ITV’s pundit lineup, Ferguson joins a high-profile group of analysts for the expanded 48-team World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. His inclusion reflects a continued demand for former top-level professionals with direct experience of both playing and coaching at elite levels.
The former Everton assistant manager and player was appointed Rovers’ boss in January 2023 with the club bottom of League One. They were subsequently relegated to the fourth tier that year, with Ferguson overseeing one win in 18 matches during his sixth-month tenure.
ITV will broadcast 51 matches live across its platforms, with all 104 tournament games shown free-to-air across UK television between 11 June and 19 July 2026.
