Stroud Brewery hosted a tasty and successful meal to raise funds for the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal.
More than 90 people came together to enjoy a Ukrainian-inspired menu devised by Stroud Brewery head Chef, Ian Ballantyne whilst a team of volunteers dedicated their time in our bar, kitchen and front-of-house service. The dinner raised £3113.10 for the Disasters Emergency Committee.
A raffle was held alongside the meal, however, some of the donations were so generous it was felt they deserved a different platform to recognise their worth.
Many beautiful works of art, a “house tattoo” by resident artist Imogen Harvey-Lewis, a wild meat hamper, a week stay in the Malverns and a ‘fizz tour’ from Woodchester Wines. The auction, with funds going to DEC, will be held in partnership and as a pre-cursor to a fundraising event organised by Stroud Against Racism who also have raffle prizes and auction items including a holiday to Italy together with bands and late-night disco with seasoned DJs such as DJ Monobrow, and emerging artists from Horsebox, MOULD collective and more, with funds going to the refugee supporters GARAS, and grassroots initiative Global Black Coalition.
The event will be held on the evening of Friday, May 6th with music from 8 till late. Auction items are seen and online pledges can be made https://stroudbrewery.co.uk/pages/ukraine-charity-auction
Stroud Brewery are still welcoming donations from those who would like to help raise more funds, whether it is a meal voucher, tickets to an event or some more amazing art, everything helps!
