Unable to resist their award-winning pizzas, families piled into Fat Toni’s last weekend with the added treat of meeting Mario.
The new Super Mario Bros Movie was released to the big screens last Wednesday [April 5] and tying in with Vue, the restaurant gave youngsters the opportunity to meet Mario himself over some pizza before watching the film.
Almost 250 people visited the restaurant last Friday and Saturday with Mario fans enjoying the meet and greet and photo opportunities as well as the special offers on pizzas Fat Toni’s ran in conjunction with the film release.
These offers continue until 19 April for any Vue cinema ticket holders and gives the chance for families and friends to enjoy a 9inch pizza and a scoop of ice cream for just £5 for kids under 12. A standard pizza and soft drink can be purchased for just £10 for age 12 and above and in the evenings, adults can take advantage of their two for £12 deal on their extensive menu of cocktails.
Co-owner at Fat Toni’s, Darren Orsi, said: “We were thrilled with the popularity of this event and would like to thank all of our customers who came to visit us over Easter.”
Fat Toni’s opened their pizza restaurant at the beginning of this year following the huge success from their takeaway business next door. The restaurant offers 25 different toppings, or if diners are undecided they can choose their own combination, all served on their signature sourdough bases and using the freshest, local ingredients.
Centre Manager for Five Valleys, Jack Simpson, said: “It was great to see so many families visit the centre this Easter weekend and we are aiming to hold many more events like this over the coming months.”
There’s plenty to do at Five Valleys this Easter school holidays including trying some street food at the indoor market or enjoying some bowling at Stroud Bowl.
