Stonehouse will host its inaugural food festival next month.
More than 60 food and drink producers will come to the town centre for a day of shopping, entertainment and community celebration.
The festival will take place on Sunday, August 16, transforming the high street into a vibrant marketplace showcasing the very best food and drink from across the region.
Organised by eat, a social enterprise that has been delivering one-day food and drink festivals across the South West for more than 14 years, the event will focus on supporting independent producers based within 30 miles of Stonehouse.

Bev Milner Simonds from eat said: “We specialise in developing festivals that bring the community together, showcase local producers and give businesses the chance to welcome new people into their premises. We are focusing on producers from within 30 miles of Stonehouse.
“We are grateful to Schreiber Foods UK for their support of this first festival. We hope the festival will grow and develop and become an established part of the Stonehouse calendar.”
The festival aims to celebrate local makers, growers and producers while encouraging visitors to discover everything Stonehouse has to offer. Organisers hope the event will help establish the town as a vibrant and welcoming destination to visit, live and do business.
Visitors can expect more than 60 artisan food and drink stalls, free live entertainment and music throughout the day, additional seating areas and a lively festival atmosphere for all ages.
