Manchester United are set to appoint former Forest Green boss David Horseman as the new assistant manager of their Under-21s, sources have told Football Insider.
Highly-regarded as a coach, Horseman, 41, is understood to have agreed terms with the Premier League giants.
Forest Green was Horseman’s first senior managerial role, but was sacked after just five months in charge and replaced by Troy Deeney.
Horseman was first-team coach at Bristol Rovers last season and took caretaker charge of the club after Matt Taylor was sacked in Decemeber.
He remained at the Memorial Stadium under Inigo Calderon, but left following Rovers’ relegation to League Two at the start of May.
