In a refreshing first interview, new Forest Green head coach Rob Edwards spoke of his “excitement” at his appointment.

Edwards, 36, has left his coaching role within the England youth set-up to become only Dale Vince’s third managerial appointment in 11 years.

Edwards joined Forest Green’s Conor Shaw to reveal his coaching career to date, his assessment of the current squad, Jimmy Ball’s impact, the value of his assistant coach Richie Kyle and the importance of the fans.
