Severe weather associated with Storm Claudia has led to several road closures this evening as a precaution to ensure public safety.
Authorities have confirmed the following closures: Hyde Lane, Whitminster – closed due to hazardous conditions. The A4136 – closed between Sherwood Road, Tetbury and Hookshouse Lane.
An amber warning is in place at Stroud until midnight.
One reader told Stroud Times: “There’s what can only be described as a river on the bend of the road on the B4058 just before Pyke Quarry recycling centre just outside Horsley and the usual deep water at Merrywalks under the railway viaduct.”
Drivers are urged to avoid these areas, follow local diversions, and allow extra time for their journeys. Motorists should exercise caution and stay updated on further travel advisories as weather conditions continue to evolve.
