Stroud CC hold Sponsors Day

Stroud Cricket Club are hosting a Sponsors Day on Saturday to thank the club’s partners and supporters for their help in maintaining the functionality of the club, with all Stroud area locals welcome to enjoy the day’s activities.

The sponsors will enjoy complimentary drinks and a buffet style lunch whilst the club’s First and Fourth XIs both host league matches in front of the pavilion during the afternoon. The bar will be opening to all from midday onwards and a BBQ will be going on at 5:30pm.

The money gained from sponsorship helps cover the running costs of the club, as well as supporting the growing youth and ladies’ teams with league registration, training courses, the replacement and update of training equipment and club playing kit.

Sponsorship Manager Russell Culver said: “Without the additional funds from sponsors, the club would struggle to keep all sections going.

“With everything the club offers here, it’s a much-needed facility to enable everyone to have a chance to play cricket.

“We’re welcoming everyone to come along on Saturday to watch some cricket and support their local club.”

Stroud First XI will host Tewkesbury First XI in the West of England Premier League Gloucestershire at 12:30pm before the Fourth XI host Chalford Second XI at 1pm on the adjacent pitch in Martin Berrill Division Two.

The club plays at the Cullimore Ground on Ryeford Industrial Estate, GL10 2LA.
