Stroud based skincare brand Wildefruit has been awarded two prizes in this year’s Free From Skincare Awards.

Wildefruit which launched in 2020, has been presented with a bronze achievement award while winning another bronze in the face oils category.

Founder Nicola Williams uses 100% natural and biodegradable ingredients in her products which she makes at her home in Randwick.

“Since launching Wildefruit just last year, we have had some wonderful feedback, and it’s such an honour to be recognised by such a respected group of industry professionals,” said Nicola.

“I’m passionate about sourcing ingredients that have a low environmental impact. By upcycling ‘ugly’ fruit and using by-products from juice and jam making, I’m able to utilise naturally potent ingredients while reducing waste, greenhouse gases and farmland.”

Nicola trained in skincare formulation and spent over 1,500 hours researching and developing the line. The brand has been featured in Tatler and is stocked in numerous retailers.

The winners in the 2021 Free From Skincare Awards were announced this week after a lengthy judging process that included a rigorous month-long assessment by four experienced skincare testers and several round-table judging sessions.

Wildefruit products are available online, at Fourteen Lifestyle and from SEAL at Stroud Farmers’ Market.
