Two-vehicle crash shuts A46 in Pitchcombe, one injured

A person has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle collision on the busy A46 in Pitchcombe this afternoon, Monday.

Paramedics assessed the occupants of both cars at the scene, and one individual was transported to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with a broken arm.

Traffic-monitoring site Inrix reported at 4.30pm that the A46 Stroud Road was blocked in both directions, with long queues between Painswick Old Road (Pitchcombe) and A4173 (the Edge turn-off, Stroud) while accident investigation work took place.
