MOST READ

If you missed singing during the lockdown and are now keen to get back,  or have always fancied being in a choir but have never quite got round to it,  Wycliffe Choral Society will give you a warm welcome.

The choir numbers about 80 at present and rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7.45 – 9.30pm in the Performing Arts Centre, Wycliffe Preparatory School, Stonehouse, GL10 2LD.

Copies of the music are provided, there are no auditions and you can attend rehearsals in September to see how you get on before committing to join.

In celebration of their 40th anniversary the choral society are singing some of the best-loved works in the choral repertoire, none of which is too challenging, so do come and try it out.

Rehearsals of Vivaldi’s Gloria, Handel’s Coronation Anthems and Schubert’s Mass in G begin on Tuesday 6th September in preparation for performance on November 27th, followed by a Christmas Concert on 11th December.

In May they will perform Mozart’s Requiem and Coronation Mass and there are also a number of social events planned during the year.
