The Wings & Wheels Society Dursley, in conjunction with the Gloucester O Gauge Group (Glos GOG), is set to stage their third Cam and Dursley Model Railway show.
It will take place on Sunday, June 7th at Dursley Community Centre, Rednock Drive, 10.30am-4.30pm. Last year’s show saw a great public turn out and the society made donations to nominated charities, The Severn Free Wheelers – Blood Bikes and the Community Centre Charity Trust. The year before donations were made to The Great Western Air Ambulance and Community Centre funds – this money was used to put a much-needed defibrillator unit outside the Community Centre Building for emergency use.

Proceeds from this year’s show will go to SARA (Severn Area Rescue Association) and the Community Centre that is a charitable trust.
The show will have three rooms of working model railway layouts and dioramas (mainly in N/O/OO/3mm gauge), with trade, demonstration, charity and society stands. The show has a part emphasis on local railways as it will feature a working model diorama of Bristol Docks and its cranes, also a highly detailed model of the ex-Midland Railway Tewkesbury Engine Shed and a working N gauge Somerset and Dorset layout named Binegar.
Also, an O gauge Diesel Depot that is 26 feet long, Owned by Johnathan and Harry Tyndale, that features digitally controlled Locomotives with sound. There will also be a stand with Dursley Branch Line photos and memorabilia on show, along with the Avon Valley Railway, and the Vale of Berkeley Railway stands, including an impressive model of Berkeley Station as seen in the 1950s.
The 2026 show will feature a total of approximately 15 model railway layouts and dioramas operating throughout the day by clubs and individuals from Bristol, Cirencester, Thornbury, Tewskesbury, and the West Midlands.
There will be a Hornby layout named ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ that can be operated by children and adults visiting the show.
