Cannabis worth £400,000 seized from derelict property

Police have seized £400,000 worth of cannabis which was being grown inside a high street property.

More than 250 cannabis plants which were being grown inside a derelict building in Tewkesbury.

Information gathered by intelligence officers led to the discovery of the plants at an address on Tewkesbury High Street on Wednesday (15 January).

Officers from the Vanguard, Local and Neighbourhood Policing teams were able to enter the building yesterday (Thursday 16 January) to dismantle the grow after it was made safe by electricians.

Two men, aged 25 and 39, were arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled drug and cultivating cannabis and have been released on bail while investigations continue.
