Stroud Cats Protection celebrated its 25th birthday with a party and the presentation of awards to some of the long-serving volunteers, writes Neil Munro.
Helen Judge, the current branch co-ordinator said: ‘Stroud Cats Protection was founded by Jeannette Bond, then there was just one fosterer with a single pen & small committee. Today there are 9 fosterers with a total of 14 pens plus a committee of 9.
“Over 5,600 cats have been re-homed by our branch in the last 25 years and we currently have 23 in the loving care of our fosterers. Thanks to everybody who has volunteered over the last 25 years.”
