Fans of James Bond and rare book collectors have a chance to bid on an extraordinary literary treasure as a complete set of first-edition James Bond novels by Ian Fleming goes under the hammer at Stonehouse-based Quire Auctions.
The specially themed “Double-O-Seven – James Bond and Ian Fleming” auction has been organised to mark what would have been Fleming’s 119th birthday. Bidding is already underway and the last chance to bid is at 7.30pm on Thursday, 28 May.
The set carries an estimate of between £30,000 and £50,000.

Head of Auctions Caitlin Riley said: “Nothing says James Bond more than opulence, and in the rare book world, nothing says opulence like leather and gilt.
“Complete first edition, first impression James Bond sets are exceptionally rare in themselves, but this beautifully rebound collection elevates the series into something truly unique for collectors.

“The craftsmanship of the full leather bindings and the faithful recreation of the original dust jacket designs make this an outstanding set.
“Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels continue to captivate collectors across generations, and we expect significant international interest in the sale.
“To offer the collection in an auction closing on Fleming’s birthday feels particularly fitting and adds an extra layer of significance to the event.”
